Hungarian Delegation at the NAFSA 2026 Conference in Orlando
In 2026, Orlando will host one of the world's most prominent international higher education events, the NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo.
Each year, the conference brings together thousands of professionals from across the globe, including university leaders, international directors, policy experts, and mobility specialists. This year’s theme, Global by Design, highlights the importance of intentional, strategically planned internationalisation in shaping the future of higher education.
Hungary will once again be represented by a strong delegation, aiming to enhance the international visibility of Hungarian higher education, strengthen existing partnerships, and explore new opportunities for cooperation with institutions worldwide.
Hungarian Institutions on board
At the Study in Hungary delegation stand, the following Hungarian universities will participate, showcasing the diversity and academic excellence of the country’s higher education system:
- University of Szeged
- Budapest Metropolitan University
- John von Neumann University
- University of Pécs
- Corvinus University of Budapest
- Eszterházy Károly Catholic University
- University of Debrecen
- University of Miskolc
Representatives of these institutions will take part in a wide range of professional programmes, panel discussions, and bilateral meetings, providing opportunities to present Hungary’s achievements and to further develop international mobility and research collaborations.
Global by Design - A Focus on Strategic Internationalisation
The 2026 conference theme underscores the idea that higher education institutions can successfully engage in the global knowledge ecosystem when their internationalisation efforts are guided by long‑term strategic objectives. This focus is highly relevant for Hungarian universities, which have seen a significant increase in international student enrolment in recent years and have expanded their partnerships across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
NAFSA 2026 offers an excellent platform for the Hungarian delegation to highlight the strengths of the national higher education system, including research excellence, innovative academic programmes, and the wide range of opportunities available to international students.
